Our Approach

Our Approach

At Adenydd, our aim is simple yet powerful: to equip all stakeholders with the essential knowledge and tools to effectively support children experiencing developmental trauma. We understand that when children face adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) without protective factors, it often leads to developmental trauma. This can affect the structure of their brains, similar to children with global developmental delay (GDD), Autism Spectrum Condition or ADHD.

But here's the exciting part: many of the strategies and support that help children with developmental trauma also benefit those with other neurodevelopmental conditions like ASD, GDD, and ADHD. It's all about finding the right approach!

We believe that every child deserves a chance to thrive academically, relationally and emotionally. That's why we focus on enhancing knowledge, developing skills, and providing resources to our amazing partners. Our comprehensive training and engaging material cover everything from the basics of developmental trauma to evidence-based strategies tailored to children's unique needs.

But it doesn't stop there! We're all about building a caring and supportive community. We foster skill development in trauma-informed teaching, effective communication, behaviour support, and creating safe learning or care environments. We want to empower you with the tools and confidence to make a real difference in children's lives.

And we're not alone on this journey. We're here to connect you with a wealth of resources, including toolkits, best practices, and even specialised services. Together, we can create a network of kindness, compassion, and expertise that encourages and supports our incredible children.

So, let's embark on this adventure of learning, growth, and love. Together, we can empower children facing developmental trauma and pave the way for brighter futures.
