These donations help to fund various projects for Adenydd. These community projects are vital for families in and around Swansea.
Our projects are designed to help families of children with additional learning needs or developmental trauma through activities, courses and building connections.
Our previous projects have been a huge success - with your help, we want to bring Adenydd's work to even more areas.
Take a closer look at what we've done with Big Give over the years.
In 2026, we will deliver our Ffrindiau Annwyl Project in Flying Start Centres and primary schools in the top 10% of deprived areas in Wales. We have already run this project successfully in nurseries and schools. Staff have been amazed at the difference in children's ability to focus, share, take turns and enjoy eachothers company.
This project is informed by Theraplay, an evidence-based intervention for families at risk and for children with autism or developmental delay.

Adenydd ran a pilot campaign implementing the BUSS (Building Underdeveloped Sensorimotor Systems) model, targetting children aged 0 to 3 in Flying Start and nursery settings. We aimed to emphasise nurturing relationships, bodily regulation, play and movement to prevent long-term impacts on well-being.
Staff received comprehensive training, equipping them to apply BUSS principles. We also collaborated with both staff and parents to establish strong support foundations within children's primary environments.

Adenydd created educational sessions and practical ativities for staff and parents. These sessions focussed on sharing knowledge and developing understanding of foundational sensorimotor systems. We also provided resources and support for this development in Early Years education and at home.
The goal of this project was to enable children to make better progress in their learning and be more able to carry out tasks and activities with less stress, enhancing their self-esteem and improving their wellbeing.

Adenydd ran the 'Just Right State' programme in a local school. We worked to upskill members of staff in using a sensory attachment approach to help regulate children.
This project aimed to help staff support children in crisis and teach them to co-regulate and self-regulate - essential life skills for resillience and success in learning and relationships.
