Come and join us

This course has been developed using approaches such as Sensory Attachment Intervention, the Just Right State Programme, Theraplay® and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Practice (DDP). The sensory regulation element has been built on our work with schools, practitioners and adopters. We also draw on our experience of supporting children and families.

Over four weekly sessions this training will explore:

  • Developmental trauma and attachment patterns
  • Introduction to the senses
  • The window of tolerance and stress bucket
  • Survival states
  • Self-care and the regulatory properties of food, the Models of Function/Dysfunction, practical activities and examples

The course will be facilitated by Gela Griffiths, who is a Certified DDP Practitioner, and Sue Pilcher, who has undertaken DDP Level 1 training. Both have lived experience as foster carers. Gela is a mum of a young man with complex needs and Sue is his respite carer.

We hope you can join us!
