Calon Y Gymuned
Adenydd has been asked if we can provide a much-needed service for the Craigfelen area. With holiday club/play sessions, we are providing an area for local families to come together and access any support they need. This is especially important for those who have children with additional needs, who may not be able to access this help elsewhere during the holidays.
Everyone Loves a Cwtch
The Calon Y Gymuned (Heart of the Community) project aims to be a consistent force in the Craigfelen area, but we want to hear from local families what they may need. So we are putting on Coffee and Chat sessions, with the next one on Thursday the 5th of June.
If you’d like to attend, please feel free to join our Facebook group and keep updated with any information about our project.
What do we provide?
These events have already been a huge help to the families that come along, and we have seen great enthusiasm for the continuation of this. But as a small charity, often our funding is stretched, and we need to turn to the kindness of the public to continue offering the service.
We have our trained staff who are able to empower families and children by fostering community connections. Providing a trauma-informed environment and sensory support, we want to carry on giving parents the tools they need.
How to Support Us
The only problem that we face is that we need to rely on donations for toys for children to play with, art supplies for them to create with and food for the families to eat while they are with us. So whatever you can provide means that the blood continues to pump into what has become the heart of the community.
If you can provide anything, email us - CEO@adenydd.org & we'll arrange with you.
